Thank you for your reply. Yes very true indeed. But surely if every underwriter was totally 100 per cent that way in thinking there would be no lending for debt consolidation. I have serviced this debt for 2-3 years without a missed payment or late one, using this loan would decrease my monthly cost by over £150. obtaining more credit I.e more credit cards, store cards etc isnt a issue if that is what i wanted to do, instead I am attempting to save myself some money with a clear plan of eventually becoming debt free.
of course its a risk from what you have stated, every time money is borrowed its a risk for the lender, usually demonstrated in the interest rate you pay.0
