This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!

As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or SLOW internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred. When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” is fine

Good Morning everyone ,couldn't get back to sleep, so got up eventually,don't know why,but once its light I'm awake, and once awake i can't just lay there.May have to have a nanna nap later :):)
I have to leave around 8.15 anyway as I have to drive to just outside Faversham to the dealership as my car is due for its annual service this morning.I shall take my book as I can sit and have a read and a nice cup of free coffee while its been done :).
This afternoon its History and we are learning about bandits today , Ned Kelly etc and the legend of Robin Hood :0 so it should be interesting. I have my DGS tomorrow night as my DD and son-in-law are driving up to Norwich to bring back Ben on Sunday for his summer recess from Uni, so it will be 'naughty night' with a few goodies while we watch tv no doubt
No shopping to get today at all at least tomorrow I'll pop to the Poundland shop for some bits for the boys for munchies tomorrow night.

Hope everyone has a good day,bright sunshine here at the moment but a very red sky so good chance of rain, just stripped and changed the bed but I don't think I'll do the washing until tomorrow

Morning all. Oh dear double starters this morning so I didn't know which thread to join! Decided on the newest by some 2 minutes!

The 3 DGDs are all still asleep but to waken up shortly. Just enjoying a coffee in peace first. Signs of overnight rain but not enough to do any good sadly. However, more is forecast for late afternoon so here's hoping the gardens get a good soaking at last!

We have the funeral of our friend at lunchtime and I am already feeling churned up about it. I know her death has affected her DH badly as, with no family, they lived for each other and went everywhere together.
So very sad.

Mr TA is taking the girls to school and then going for his fortnightly bloods for Liverpool. He's a couple of days early as we plan on going over to the caravan tomorrow for a few days. Firstly to see if we can sort out the problem with the electrics and, secondly, to book a repair person when we can't!! It seems ages since we were over there as we were away in Devon and then Liverpool for Mr TA's therapy.

Well it's time I woke up the girls then dressed, fed and watered them before the school runs start at 8.15. "Big" school first for the eldest and onwards to junior school for the two youngest. Sod's law they are at opposite sides of town and commuter traffic to battle in between!

We've ended up with 2 daily threads again today!

Not quite as warm here yesterday but sticky hot this morning. He Who Knows has walked Cookie and popped to the allotment for some rhubarb for us and then we're going to the biggest local M&S to see if we can get him some more slippers, the quality on goods these days seems to be very shoddy no matter where you buy them, this pair has lasted him since Christmas and they're apart at all the seams and parting company with the sole, at £18 a pair you'd kind of expect them to last longer than that wouldn't you? However the M&S size 12s fit him so we're back for another pair if they've got them in his size which is always hard to find.

Washing in the machine, house clean and tidy and most things up to date so a day in the garden weeding and picking for me today which I'll enjoy very much.
