Hello
So i asked last year about a new a/p and i tried the most popular recommendation which was mitchum. Trouble is this has now stopped working and i'm sweating within a few mins of leaving the house, i am also quite conscious of the smell shortly after, especially in this heat atm. I'm off to Greece at the weekend so is there anything that anybody else can recommend for the hot weather?
Thanks

I use a 24 hour silver content spray by Nivea. Unfortunately it is for a male, so you find it in the male area of the deodorants.
It has silver in the contents which kills off the bacteria, It has stopped me sweating up a storm for a good 12 hours.
I don't know if Nivea do a female version or another company does.
I tried Mitchum in the past after a recommendation. I found it utterly useless.
Feel it's so called popular recommendation is nothing but a sales department created urban legend.
Edit : Just thought if you want to give the Nivea try, go to Savers. They do a 100ml can of it for £1 if you want to give it a try as big cans can be £2.50 plus.
They also do other Nivea versions for a £1, I think they maybe also for females. Cheap way to find out if it works. The more I live, the more I learn.

Sure used to be quite strong, - have you tried that one?0

I've used Mitchum for 20 years with no problems - could you possibly be using an old one or bought a dud?0

How does one buy a dud deodorant :rotfl:
In any case, it's not the sweat you want to stop, but the odour. That's the most anti-social part. It's perfectly natural for the body to sweat in hot weather.0 -
I think with most deodorants, the body bacteria get immune to sprays after awhile as the bugs tend to mutate to defend against the stuff.
If you are sweaty I think it tends to happen faster. The more I live, the more I learn.

Out of date stock.:D0 -
They keep changing the formulas so they then can sell you the super dooper version at twice the price
I worked as a cook in a kitchen for years. For most of those years dove worked. Then all of a sudden it stopped. Now I'm talking heat of over 40+ every day for shifts up to 12 hours.
So I went to the dove maximum or whatever it's called at £5 a time, and that has been working
However I've a very old stick of dove which still works, yet the new sticks don't
Just changed to a lidl end of range on for 99p and it's so good, I went in and bought all the stock on the shelf0 -
You need to keep rotating the antiperspirant you use, between the ones which work for you. Don't always use the same one, it will lose its effectiveness.0

I heard mitchum change their formula a lot and coupled with that it may have lost its effectiveness. I'll see if lidl have got any off that 99p stuff. I'll buy the sure maximum protection I've been reading some good things about on boots. Thanks allIn debt no more!0
