It's like Brussels sprouts at Christmas. You've got to have them.
Would this be better on the wedding thread?Advent Challenge: Money made: £0. Days to Christmas: 59.0 -

I did chocolate dragees instead of almonds - same shape but easier on the teeth and more people actually eat them. I've seen a lot of retro sweets recently - you can print off downloadable labels to put over little packets of something like love hearts to personalise them for your wedding.
Or were you looking at this as an income source? In which case, I would ask on the wedding thread as there are likely to be more people who would give you the answer there as to what is currently on trend.LD 12.25 £1600.00/£0700.00 Fn £274.00 LTFn £525 LLTFn £300

I had bonbons, my bestfriend friend had chocolate coated coffee beans & homemade limoncello, my sister is having teabags and candles.
I can't remember the last wedding I went to with sugared almonds.
I used to work in a hotel and very rarely saw sugared almonds either - lottery tickets, chocolate etc. I think they're slowly disappearing for more interesting favours0 -
They're a fine old traditional Italian wedding favour - and if that fits in with any of your current plans, hurrah, but if not, you can ditch the entire favours malarkey.
Noone *requires* you to leave little packs of sweets around at a wedding - and from a robustly money saving perspective, why do it? If you want to keep up with assorted Joneses, you're running headlong into a stonking bill.
If you want to ensure your guests go home with a charming memento, you can have a photographer taking portraits on arrival, get them quickly printed & into appropriate frames ready for departure. Or send 'em off with posies of flowers in keeping with your floral theme, or with candleholders & matchbooks, so they've always got a light in case of powercuts.
Just choose what *you* want to do (& can afford) rather than follow the "rules" largely maintained by the wedding industry...
Hoping you have a happy day & a long & happy marriage!0
