Hi, I am considering doing a DMP due to ever increasing debts and as my circs have changed and now living on my own finding it difficult to meet minimum payments. Just wanting some advice really, am I best off going for the DMP or into an IVA? Which companies are the best to deal with and won't mess you around? Do I keep paying wah I can until things get sorted and how long does it ususally take for these matters to be commenced??
If anyone can offer advice I would really appresicate it.:A

Hello my lovely! :hello:
Welcome to the club!
Here's a link to SouthernScousers post where he gives you loads of info on who you should go to for help - and who not to!
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=107280
It also shows you how to do a SOA - and if you post it on here we'll all make suggestions for how you could make improvements to the way you manage your money.
Here's the link to when I did it: (it's a bit scary to get your financial woes out in public but it's worth it for the help you get.)

I also rate the CCCS and the Citizens Advice Bureau as places to go for help, but I've never had a DMP or IVA so I'm not terribly clued up about them (But someone will be along in a minute who is!)
So don't panic, there's a lot of help available.
