Is it possible to haggle?

Seen a camcorder which was on clearance sale. The store only has one left but the box has been opened and contents taken out and put back in. The camcorder has not been used. It is basically a display model. Is it possible to haggle over the price because it has been opened etc?
Problem with having access to internet is that i get asked by many to solve their problems
Well at least i learn something on the way

No harm in trying... it can only go two ways!0

its probably not display just a sales assistant not put it back properly after someone looking at it. from an ex employee, i would imagine you could get an extra 10% off.£2 Savers club £0/£150
1p a day £/0 -
I would definately haggle. Just claim you're buying the camcorder as a gift for somebody (normally works for me). As another poster has already mentioned they normally give you 10% discount.0

I have to say I've never heard anyone getting a 10% discount just because the item has been viewed by another customer. The item won't have been used at all, just the box opened. I don't feel that is enough to justify a discount, and I wouldn't give it if asked.0
