Earning arrestment Stirling park.

Options
Hi, i received an earnings arrestment through the post on Monday for council tax from Stirling park I have been paying this every 4 weeks at £70, I phoned them straight away and the man said he would cancel it and to phone on the 17th and pay as usual, I've phoned 3 further times and been told it has been cancelled but I am really
Worried my wages could be arrested next Friday. It was for £625 my wages are £1280 after tax every 4 weeks so would all this be taken at once? I actually only owe £555, £70 less than they are claiming for. Any help is appreciated thanks so much! :D

    Hi

Try not to worry if they've told you the arrestment has been cancelled.

The full amount wouldn’t be taken all at once even if there was an earnings arrestment. The deductions are based on your income level, shown in the table here:

If an arrestment is still in place you could apply for a Debt Arrangement Scheme (DAS) which can stop any diligence such as an arrestment, and you could also include most other debts into one monthly payment.
