Hi Tania
As above, and more generally you should refer to the organisations listed on this thread:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4228011
Regardless of whether you owe £9000 or £9, make sure it is free, impartial advice you are seeking and not one of the numerous "debt solutions" companies that can be found online.
Good luck, and remember that you can ask for help and support with tackling your debts on here as well.
Dennis
@natdebtlineWe work as money advisers for National Debtline and have specific permission from MSE to post to try to help those in debt. Is there a reason why most people on this forum seem to advocate Stepchange over Payplan? I'm with Payplan & (bar one small incident of them ignoring a creditors' request for a statement of income & expenditure) they've been great. Sorry to hijack the thread, just wondering & it might also help OP with their decision xLBM August 2013 - debt: £27,181
May 2017 - debt: £8,208

Start with national Debtline or CAB as being impartial
Go with Stepchange or Payplan if you need a debt management plan and can meet their minimum payment requirements.
CAB if you need a DRO, as long as your local office can do them0
