lowell group advise

Options
hi, first time posting here, hope somebody could help advise?

i've recently received a letter from lowell stating they own a debt owed by myself to a high street bank, i've sent them a prove it letter from this site (recoreded/signed for), i have now received a letter thanking me for my recent correspondence and confirming the outstanding balance relates to an orange account bought by them with a different lowell reference number and completely different account?? now should i do nothing about this and just complain (refering to my letter regarding the bank debt) when they send me further letters demanding i set up payment? or point out to them that they haven,t provided anything to prove my original question? any advise would be great

    Hi,

Seems you might have two debts outstanding then, or is the Orange account not yours ?

hi, yes two outstanding, checked credit report and they are the only two on there, both with lowells. i'm concentrating on this larger one first as i'm trying to get my credit report into shape, it was the one relating debt to hsbc that i wanted to query and they seem to acknowledge my letter but then assigned it to the other that i have never been in correspondence about? not sure where i stand about the original prove it letter now?

    thanks

Write again asking for evidence of liability for both accounts, quote both ref numbers.

shall i send the same letter but amend to include both ref numbers? looking at my credit history the dates don't ring true in my mind, starting and defaulted?
