Credit Card Agreement ??????

Hi
I wonder if anyone can help me.....I have a Nationwide credit card and have had it for over 10 years. I have recentley tried to cancel the payment protection on it as I'm trying to pay it off quicker.
I had a letter back saying that they dont have the orginal application so they cant verify my signature, and have gave me a new credit agreement. Do I just sign it or am I legally not liable for the card. I dont want to sign for it if I'm not as its not my problem that they dont have my orginal apllication.
Thanks
Kevin

i would check with a solicitor, but i think that as you have been paying it you could argue you have accepted responsibility for it.
you could try here for advice: http://www.yourlegaldesk.com0 -
Don't use your legaldesk.com! They took my money but i did not get a reply. If you email them they don't reply, and when I phoned it was eventually answered but a very rude and unprofessional person with an appalling telephone manner, who asked me to email him the details again but needless to say, no reply again.0

Legally if they have not got a copy of a signed, true executed CCA then they cannot enforce the debt  and you can dispute the debt even though you have been making payments, though its a long and sometimes hard process to go through and it may be passed to a DCA, maybe even many different ones. Your credit rating, if good at the moment, will be affected.
Morally, it depends on whether you want to pay it or not.
Its a hard decision, normally I would only advise somebody to go through this process if the debt was already with a DCA and they were being hounded but it can be done with the original creditor.
You can Pm me if you have any questions as I'm not on the board much at the moment but a PM will come through to my e-mail.
They have to have your signature and if I have understood correctly they dont even have an agreement so no agreement = no signature0
