Where to get pension advice

We are looking at retiring in the next two years.
We are British expats, living outside the UK for 30 years, have a private pension and home in UK. So we will be coming back to UK to retire.
We live outside the UK, havent paid NI
Our pension is UK based
We have looked at our figures, but we need advice.
Where do people get independent advice about pensions?
Need to start somewhere.
Thanks

Might be worth contributing NI if that would bring you to the level where state pension starts, 10 yrs contributions I believe.
Depends how many years you had before leaving I guess.I am not a cat (But my friend is)0 -
Looked into the idea of paying the NI, its not worth it.
I don't expect to get a state pension, it's not what i want, I have a very good private pension.
I'm just looking for where people go for good advice on pensions.0 -
I guess an IFA is your best bet then.I am not a cat (But my friend is)0

If you think the equivalent of a 30% annuity rate is not worth it then what is ?Mrsmoneypenny wrote: »Looked into the idea of paying the NI, its not worth it.

If you have decided where you want to settle then maybe a IFA local to that area may be a good idea. https://www.unbiased.co.uk/0 -
You might as well get a state pension statement.

http://www.thepfs.org/yourmoney/find-an-adviser/ - you might find one located near your retirement property in the UK.0
