You are correct again. I was wrongly thinking that the ERC is pro rata but the monthly payments are calculated monthly! It does make sense to switch asap.0 -

Just about all mortgages are portable, but you are generally much better off if you can move without being tied into a mortgage product.
Have no plans for moving in this time frame. Besides, as you said, there are a lot of unknown parameters for making any meaningful calculations.0
