Hi,
Just a quick question regarding my workplace employer contributions.
They contribute 10% to the main part of the workforce but those in a certain job role get 15% employer contributions, is this allowed or should all employees be getting the same?
Thanks

it is allowed in the same way that the employee can choose to pay you, or anyone else, more or less then everybody else.
At the end of the day it is just paying you in a different way.0 -
My last employer paid different rates for each person, based on their legacy pension schemes.0

Where ever I have worked, there has been at least two grades, one for normal people and one for senior managers. I will let you guess which was more generous. Then there are those who negotiate something different or who are very senior.
I would guess the public sectors is more controlled or open but not sure.0 -
Where I work people who were in a DB scheme when it closed get 15% employer contribution, others get 10%.
The extra 5% is by way of compensation.0
