Notice of correction passed to underwritter

Hi I could really do with some advice/heads up! I submitted an aip which was a straight accept with Santander then the full application went through (I believe at this point they do a full check) which passed however a notice of correction marker popped up! They said it doesn't matter and the underwriter would need to look at it! All documents have been signed off( payslips etc) we are putting down a 20% deposit! I'm concerned as I have a default for £84 on my credit file from last year ! The notice of correction is I think for a dispute I raised regarding my credit card balances and not the default I'm really worried that the default is now going to scupper my mortgage? Anyone been in a similar situation or could shed some light as nervously waiting the decision! Thanks

How do know that the full credit check was passed? Referral to the underwriters suggests that something has arisen that requires manual scrutiny.0

Thanks for replying, I was in the phone and they did the budget planner and double checked affordability then they said they would put me on hold whilst they did the credit check(2nd time) as already done aip! They then said its come back accepted but with a note that there is a notice of correction marker, so they said this would need to be checked by the underwriter but assured me it was ok. Thanks again0

When you have a notice of correction on your credit file, it will flag it up to the lender. It then HAS to be looked at by a human. As they are obliged to read your note it. This happened to me! the lender actually told me they are more of a pain than to not have one......! my one delayed things about a week or just under I think. It was all fine and got accepted. But I was told by the lender that a NOC will delay things........! so, after we move in I will be removing the NOC from my file. So it doesn't cause these issues again,0
