Joint loan application

Hello,
We have never took a loan out previously but am wanting to do some house modifications in the next couple of months and will want to take out a loan for that.
I'm just curious as to eligibility checkers and whether any accept joint details as part of the decision making process? I assume when you apply to the respective banks etc. once you have chosen your desired lender that they will all allow joint applications? I had initially looked at Tesco as a starting point and they seem to allow it but M&S only request one name etc.
Many thanks for your help in this new area

First point of call would always be to your current bank if you cannot get enough on credit cards with 0% transfer rates.
As for loan eligibility checkers, take the results with a pince of salt as you will only know the rate after you apply and get accepted.0 -
Its usually not available however there is nothing to stop you doing two inidividual loans0
