HSBC Querying transactions on my bank statement

I am currently a FTBer applying through L&C for a mortgage with HSBC and they are querying payments to a John Lewis credit card on my bank statement as well as cash payments going into my bank account.
I told the lady at L&C that the JL credit card is my mothers card and she gives me cash every month to pay the balance which accounts for the payments to the credit card and the cash deposits - basically my mum is pretty old and doesn't really know how to work a remote control, let alone do internet banking and she gives me the money every month to pay the balance.
I also sent them a copy of her latest statement to show it is her card and that there is no balance.
Should I have anything to worry about?

I wouldn't have thought so. Perfectly legit reason. Depends how anal HSBC want to be really. Which they can be.... But even for them I don't see why that would be an issue as long as the amounts match your story. Possible they may ask for a couple more months just to be sure.

A question that most lenders would reasonably ask.
You have a plausible explanation that you can evidence.
This should therefore be resolved and your broker will manage this for you.I am a Mortgage Broker

HSBC queried a direct debit going out of my account - it was for registration with my professional body, I told them that, they were fine with it. I wouldn't worry too much!Savings target: £25000/£25000
