Hi, just looking for a little advice
I checked my credit file last night via checkmyfile and was a bit shocked to see that in July or August 2012 i had an AR marker showing on a HSBC credit card. it was the very first month the account opened

Checked Noddle and Clearscore and they seem fine. I went into the bank and the guy i spoke to said that they can see the payments being made and a minimum payment setup from the time the account was opened.
Since 2012 I've had an excellent track record, if by any chance that it was my fault is there any way of getting it removed? good will maybe?
Hopefully buying a house soon, just trying to get everything in order. would that the AR make much difference for mortgage applications?
All help much apreciated.

You can write and ask them to remove as a matter of goodwill, they may or may not do so.
To be fair, I don't think one little AP marker in a sea of green will make a whole lot of difference.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. How will it disappear? i read that it would stay on your credit file 6 years after closing the account.
Is this true?
apologies you are correct, id read somewhere that its 5 years history when active but then kept for 6 years, after closing, just checked my own doesn't appear to be the case0 -

I can only comment on my Barclaycard experience.
AR markers for a few mths before being stopping all during dmp.
Don't take these markers as a be all and end all which isn't always the case.Replenished CRA Reports.2020 Nissan Leaf 128-149 miles top charge. Savings depleted. VM Stream tv M250 Volted to M350 then M500 since returned to 1gb0 -
I'm really confused...I just got back from the bank where a lovely lady advised me that the AR marker is the initial agreement that i made to keep paying my credit card bill. I informed her that none of my other past or current credit cards have this marker. I was then told not to worry about it as it's not important.
i stressed that i want to get it removed and she replied 'i'll make a call on Monday'
i called the credit card people during the week but they were a foreign call centre and the guy couldn't understand the problem. i gave up!, i spend 1h 10m on the phone to them, they couldn't look at my statements from 2012 as it was to far back. they have however order me a full copy free of charge!
Can anyone advise how i can get to the bottom of this?0
