hi, this site has been very usefull to me, reading advice and its opened my eyes to my situation and I am wondering what I should do.
I have been self employed for many years and my debts on credit cards has been building up to the point where its more then 300 a month minimum payments on 3 credit cards, i was paying minimum and more as often as i could, a fulltime related job came up and i took this with plan to get my finances sorted, that fell through after a few weeks and now in dispute over payment .
this has left me messed up with my self employment jobs (having turned down jobs) I am working for the next few weeks with a short contracts but worried about future payments as have headed into overdraft . I feel that my work will be picking up based on previous years and have lots of future options but my immediate situation needs to be sorted.
my last few years income is actually below 9000 each tyear as I had some savings which has slowly dwindled away, I inherited my own home, so no mortgage just council tax 100 a month, and other bills.
I am looking towards a loan but thinking based on my information this might prove very tricky??
any suggestions to my next step would be greatly appreciated.
thankyou

Hello Dave
Welcome to mse - sorry to hear of the problems. Really, tho, nobody can advise you about much until you post a Statement of Affairs - at the top of this board/list of threads, there's a "Sticky", a post permanently up there, by a poster called southernscouser, which sets out what kind of information people will be asking you for, so we know your financial situation and how best you might go about changing your situation. Until we've got that, there's nothing much we can help you with, sorry. Don't worry too much, there are some financial whizzes on here, just get the information together slowly, maybe in a Word document at first, and then cut and paste it onto this site (if you take ages preparing a post, it sometimes "times out", and you lose the lot, so keep it on your own computer first).
Good luck with the info gathering.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
