Hi,
Travelled to London from Doncaster on Sunday to go to Wembley when i got on the train we found our seats which were on our tickets and sat down, after a few minutes a group of men came over and asked us to move as they said it was there seats, after looking at their tickets they had the exact same tickets as ours which then caused some issues as we didnt want to move as we had paid for 4 tickets at over 200 quid and had reserved these seats.
The men started to be aggressive and forceful to make us move, they also had the same tickets as 2 other young ladies on the train which they also made move who ran off petrified. As the train was full due to a football match and Rugby in the capital we had no one to complain to, no police no conductor, so in the end we ended up moving we then had the problem of finding somewhere to stand where we didnt want to get knocked over.
How do i go about getting a refund as this is not fair at all and the service was shocking.
THanks

Which company was operating the train?0

You might get a goodwill payment from the TOC but if you're asking for a refund then it will be for the grand total of £0, which is what you paid for your seat reservations.0

i did it via the ticketsplit website from raileasy.
and the train was actually owned by virgin.0 -
Did you not get the conductor involved, especially if people were aggressive?0

Double-booking does happen due to glitches, but is rare.
All these trains have Guards, and if you can't find the Guard, head for the buffet car/first class; there will be staff there.
The Guard would have found alternative seats if possible, very possibly in First Class. If it was not possible, the Guard would have endorsed the ticket for a refund.0
