Bike lights?

I was given some poundshop lights. The bracket was made of plastic with a metal screw through it. When you tightened the screw the plastic broke and they were immediately put in their rightful place - the bin.0

Not only do I leave my (fairly cheap) lights on but also my bag. There's never anything of value in it. Spare tube and levers, bottle of water and sometimes a towel and swimming goggles. I always take my water with me.
I'm not complacent. A thief may well take something from the bike one day. I've just weighed up the options and considering the value of the items it's not worth me carrying everything every time I leave the bike.0 -
The two bikes that regularly get riden at night are both equipped with hub dynamos and the lights are permanently bolted on. I do have a set for my CF road bike, but that never leaves my sight in a ride so I don't really need to worry about anything being removed from it.0

I beleive Aldi have some cheap sets in stock at the moment.
For the Scouts those little lights you can attach to your clothing can be useful and cheap, and a good idea for pedestrians in the dark and twilight conditions.0 -
Either heavy duty bolt on lights, or take em with you. Had a set stolen a while ago, it does happen0
