Mortgages and current bank accounts

I was wondering if anyone has any advice on how long it is important to have your current account when applying for a mortgage?
I ask because I would like to make the most out of current accounts such as TSB 5% and switch to them from a current account without benefits I have had for years.
Anyone know if mortgage lenders dislike that you switch current accounts recently before applying?
Thank you!

As with any (potential) credit product it's much better to do them after you've gotten your mortgage.0
