Working Notice during Sign off/sick leave

    Not according to the employment act section 87.


    87(2)
    An employee who has been continuously employed for one month or more gives notice to terminate his contract of employment, the provisions of sections 88 to 91 have effect as respects the liability of the employer for the period of notice required by section 86(2).

    Yes, of course you are correc. Don't know where my brain is today. But if contractual notice is one month and the statutory notice is shorter by a week or more, then there is no entitlement to any normal pay. I can't see anywhere where there OP had stated these things. But I may be just not seeing it. My brain really is pickled today. I broke my ankle a couple of days ago and the drugs are wonderful😃
