LDK fine appeal for Lidl carpark

Back on 15th March 2016 I appealed a parketing ticket from LDK for Andover for parking outside of store hours. The whole system there had changed very recently, signage was not clear and no announcement had been made on the website. I appealed the fine via email and immediately received an automated response from LDK saying they were looking at the appeal and would respond in upto 14 days. Today over 2 moths later, having heard nothing at all from them I receive a letter from Debt Recovery Plus demanding £150 claiming their client LDK had written to me about the fine recently! I have received no email letter or phone call and when I called DRP to tell them so he just said it was not their problem and that LDK would not respond to me regarding it either as they had now passed the debt over to DRP. Not sure where I stand here but the original LDK ticket stated that if you appeal within 14 days which I did you have the right to still pay the original £45 fine if you lose the appeal . I have not even had a response to my appeal in all this time other than the initial automated email receipt of my appeal letter so do not feel I should now be paying £150!! Any advice as am worried this could affect my credit rating etc.. and also want to get it resolved. Thanks

That's what the 'NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST' thread is near the top of the forum for. Post #3 of it covers this issue, tells you DRPlus letters are NOTHING, as does the thread linked by Quentin.

Don't go ringing them up...can't BELIEVE how many people ring up a debt collector...!
