Shelberg, try this, but make sure before you leave they have put the points on. They may have to add them manually.

I tried using the voucher posted above but was told by my local store that they no longer accept them and that 170 stores nationwide will no longer be using clubcard points. Spent £5 but couldn't have my points added on. Need to find which stores are still taking them. Birkenhead store definitely isn't.

Does anyone know any stores in Yorkshire where the coupons are still accepted?

There's nothing on WHS' website to say that the scheme is going to end - in fact you can still apply for a card! I've emailed them - I'll post their response when it arrives.

i work for w h smith in bristol and we are still using club card points,havent heard anything about us stopping.we are giving out £5 off any book over £10 vouchers at the mo to be used from the 1st of oct till the 14th of oct hope that is usefull :j

Don`t think they can be finishing clubcard just yet cos i`ve just had an email with a new 200 points voucher valid until september 20th!

WH Smith are trialing not using clubcard in one of their areas (Liverpool). They say that the average person only gets 45p in points/year which is a bit rubbish. Therefore they are inviting people in this area to sign up for an email list that will send monthly money off vouchers instead. Maybe someone who lives in the Liverpool area could post details of this because the communication did say that the vouchers would be valid in all areas.

I got this reply from Clubcard today:


Thank you for your email enquiring about our Clubcard loyalty Scheme.We are changing the Clubcard scheme to provide you with an alternative offer which will give you greater savings every month. This will be in the form of vouchers rather than points - immediate savings and easier to use!We are currently trialling a scheme, in which some of our stores are taking part, whereby we are encouraging our customers to enter into an email relationship with us instead. In turn, we will guarantee that they will receive a monthly email with at least £10 worth of vouchers included. The introductory email will have £20 worth of vouchers!Our stores should be displaying relevant display material as from 1st August 2007 to advise our customers that points will no longer be issued from 1st September 2007 but points can be redeemed up until Friday 29 February 2008. After that time, you will not be able to redeem any points and the current Clubcard scheme will cease to run in participating stores.
