Getting a mortgage whilst on probationary period at work

Hi,
My husband is due to start his new job this month but will be on a probationary period of 12 months and his employment may be terminated during this time. Is there any mortgage companies that would offer us a mortgage or is this a no go. I have just started working 12 hours a week. We are looking for a first time mortgage together.

Provided it is permanent employment you will be fine. If it is temporary then lenders will look for a track record.0
