Hi, was wondering if anyone had any idea where I could pick up some cheap candles. I have just been looking on ebay and they seem very expensive. I am sure someone last year suggested garden centres but I can't find any in my local hurrans (is it too early?). Any ideas greatly appreciated

Hi. Not all Yankee Candles go for a lot of money on Ebay (I know cos I'm selling some!) but you do have to factor in the postage because they are in heavy glass jars.
It doesn't help you much now, but I find the best thing to do is buy out of season - for example, I bought my Christmas ones in January/February last year, and I'll get my summer fragrances in the next couple of months.
As for stockists, the web has loads but Yankee seem to set their RRPs. Sadly a habit for Yankee candle is not very money-saving.
Depending where you live, I might be able to suggest some shops - and then it is just a case of finding what you want at the right price.
Also, is it specifically candles you want - you can often pick up the wax tarts cheaply if you want fragrance.
Any questions. shout. I'm a bit of a (sad) Yankee expert!

cheers for that, i don't know of a wyevale locally, i live near leamington spa. But i think you are right about the postage cause that seems to be what is making them seem expensive, I just want a small selection of tarts or candles, so will continue to keep and eye out.
Thanks again0 -
No problem. Hope you find what you need

i got 2 little tarts for 10p each at the local car boot, they are both fresh cut rose. May not have been a flavour I would have chosen but it smells lovely even through the plastic. I have never tried them before but was recommended them so was reluctant to spend a lot before trying them but i think I am converted0
