Remortgage woes

Hello forumites.

MY £157k remortgage from NRAM to Nationwide was due for 26th of May completion.

There would be a shortfall of £4k

On 20th of May, I paid £4k to my conveyencer. It was confirmed received.

On 26th of May, Nationwide paid my conveyencer £153k.

In the month of June, I was expecting only a Nationwide mortgage payment. However, today, on the 1st of June, NRAM have taken a DD of £1k. This will leave me tight in the month of June if Nationwide take their DD (due soon).

Was this to be expected?

If the NRAM mortgage has not yet been redeemed, who is liable for the interest on the account.

Thanks in advance.
