In line with Cabinet Office guidance published 26 December 2013, DTMC no longer uses premium rate 0845 numbers.

    https://www.gov.uk/benefit-overpayments/how-to-make-a-repayment

As with most other departments, the new number starts 0345.

Calls to 03 numbers are inclusive from landlines and mobiles, else charged at geographic rate - the same as for calls to 01 and 02 numbers.

Quick update, called hmrc today, spoke with enhanced needs team, they arranged to liaise with concentrix and look into my case..as I requested a MR. Long story short they have now said the case is closed, there is no overpayment and my claim will continue until I start my new job end of June (when I will have to contact them)
I would like to thanks you all for advice but especially Alice and IQ.

    Well done.

Thanks for letting us know, it is useful to hear that the enhanced needs team are able to sort things.

Do consider re-applying for DLA for your youngest (you have nothing to lose), look into carers allowance (as this may give you an addittional premiun on JSa), and I still think a benefits check at the CAB may be useful.

I am going to request help from a welfare rights worker and my daughters nurse to reapply. Don't quite know if I have the fight left in me ...then I will soon have the dreaded pip application. It does seem to never end. But this is one battle I can put aside. Thank you again

I have no problem what so ever with checks being made on claims. None at all. But these are letters sent without proof accusing you, giving you very little time to gather the proof they require. It's impossible to speak with them, and then they make a decision, which in my case was entirely wrong.
As for pip or dla, I don't class that as free money and would gladly never claim a penny if I could have my daughters health and mine be 100%.
    Thanks for your input.

I agree ! You were treated appallingly by Concentrix. Im glad you have had the strength to get through it. Just because its a benefit doesnt mean depts can carry out checks without humanity and on a witch hunt. They should carry out their checks diligently but professionally according to their Charter.

When I asked for a number to call to complain about Concentrix, I was advised to shortcut & go straight to my MP. Please do!

Just because the Needs Enhanced Support team have finally picked up the ball does not let Concentrix off from being an amoral bunch of [insert language as you see fit] here.

Don't take the NES name too personally either - it's quite simply a team for *anyone* who struggles For Whatever Reason with forms or computers. They are not forever, they are only expected to get involved for a year or two but they can set a bunch of helpful flags for future years.

Hmrc did listen into a few of the concentrix calls today and agreed they were not acceptable. I worry complaining will cause me more trouble tbh, I'm glad I have come out of the other side at times with the stress and accusations I really did know how much more I could take.

As I said I fully support claims being checked, I don't mind showing anyone my bills and bank statements, but to be accused of lying to be told I will be prosecuted, go to jail and my children could end up in care if I don't just admit it and pay £1000 a month, that in my opinion is not a check on a claim. It's harassment. And from the reading I have done its wide spread by this bunch
