has anybody applied for Customer Service consultant and apprentice customer service consultant at HMRC ref CSR/1174/16 - would be interested in what you thought of the online english and maths test?!?!?!

Hello iv applied for this role but for some reason I haven't had to do the English maths test. In my previous application I carried out the sift test so don't have to redo them but didn't carry out the English and maths tests.

Hi, I have applied for this role. I have completed the Maths and English tests but I am still waiting for a response as to whether I have an interview. Have you heard anything yet and if you have, how long did it take for them to contact you?

I think you all sound far to nice for this position. Every time I have had to speak to HMRC they have always been un helpfull and rude. lol

Perhaps that comes from the experience of dealing with the customers.

My son has applied for this position. He had to complete the English and maths test and has an Interview next month. He only heard back in the last few days and completed the tests around a month ago.

Yeah i did my test last month! I found the English one okay but the numeracy one was very tricky, i did not like some of the questions, especially the euro, pound and dollar questions, however i managed fine!

Got an email yesterday saying i need to book my interview slot, which is in a few weeks.

Im very nervous and is there anyone who has had an interview with them? What will they ask?

I had my interview last week. It is very straight forward they will ask you a few questions around the competences. They will make you feel very relaxed. I'd say it's one of the best interview I had because of this. Where have you applied for? Good luck!!

How did you all get on with this? My son had an email saying he's been put on the reserve list, but he's taken another position anyway now.

No, I think it must be part of the training. They are just as unhelpful and rude when contacted by staff from other government departments. :mad:
