Bankruptcy - Fiancee Lives abroad

Hi
I have considered bankruptcy and would like some thoughts on the what would happen with my gf/future wife.
My gf lives in the phillipines and I send her £50 per month (this douclbes her monthly wage) we have plans to get married january 22 2008 and most of this has already been paid for (about 80% paid)
Do you think the or, would allow the relationship to continue ?
Will he allow my monthly finacial support ?
If say a flight and hotel had been booked on a credit card months before bankruptcy, do you think he will demand them to be cancelled ?
I am a little worried as I have been to see my girl twice and I do not want to loose her, but the quicker we get married and she comes over, then she would like to work and this will help us both.

Any cash you need draw it now in anticipation for future events and claim 'living expenses'
Tyres near the limit?
Car need a tune up?
That ipod getting full?
you get the idea.....0 -
Not wanting to be harsh mate, but if you are at a point where you are considering going BR, then can you really afford to get married? You are effectively spending money you havent got, and hoping that it'll all be written off later down the line.
If you go BR you will have to explain your daily finances, and they will draw up a 'repayment' schedule from your sheet. Basically - they'll take away your debt but will leave you with enough to live on and little else. What will your Filipina bride do when she finds out you're broke and the UK isnt all milk and honey? Shes going to cost you a lot more than £50 a month when she gets to England and discovers Harvey Nicks...0 -
Err...I didnt mean the Harvey Nicks thing in any 'thai bride' stereotypical way - just that its a hell of a lot more expensive over here than over there.0
