Sole application - deposit in joint account

Hi,
I'm going to be applying for a sole mortgage application shortly.
The deposit is sitting in a joint bank account with my wife. The balance is roughly 90% from my salary and 10% from my wife's self employment.
My wife isn't applying for the mortgage with me because she doesn't have permanent right of residence in the UK.
Will there be any problem with the deposit being held in a joint account? My wife is happy to sign an occupier consent form.
Thanks

Yes. Some lenders will have an issue with this if she is going to reside in the property, contribute to the deposit and not be party to deeds nor ownership.
Doing a joint mortgage is not as difficult as you think if your LTV is under 75%?
This would best be dealt with by an independent broker to ensure you get the best route for this case.I am a mortgage broker. Thanks very much. We are looking at 90% LTV. I will get in touch with a broker and see what they say.
She can get permanent residence in a few months, so we might just wait a bit.0
