Self Assessment Tax Calculation

Options
Hello, I have been completing my husband's self assessment tax return online and have reached the calculation page. This states it does not include payments made on account already. Once the tax return is submitted, will the amount due be adjusted to reflect the amount already paid on account?

Also, I earn less than the personal allowance, so have applied for the marriage allowance where I transfer some of my personal allowance to my husband - will this also be taken into consideration on the final calculation?

Thanks to anyone who can give me any help.

Yes. Give it 48 hours and it should show up.

The payment on account is an advance on your tax. When you get the final bill, it will be discounted from the tax due. Sorry, I don't know enough about the marriage allowance to help, but there's a big thread about it at https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5253467

Once HMRC have validated the MAT it should turn up in the recipient's SA302 as a rebate on the amount of tax assessed.
