No Signed Loan Agreement

Hi All,

New to the site so apologies if similar questions have been posted before.

My partner recently applied for a post office loan online. She submitted all the info etc and it came back saying they were unable to make an instant decision and would contact her to confirm within 4-5 days. They called a couple of days later as it turned out somehow the application had been submitted twice so they wanted to confirm she only wanted to proceed with one. She said she did and they said they would let her know a decision again within 3-5 days.

She hasn't heard anything since however she's checked her account today and the funds have been credited. However, she hasn't been sent a loan agreement to sign, and hasn't had the important information documentation through. I recently applied for a loan with them as well (paying off our credit cards which are charging extortionate APR rates) and I got all the documentation through before the funds were transferred. I then had to sign a copy and send it back.

Where does she stand if they haven't sent any agreements to her to sign? Just looking for advice really. I'm not suggesting that she will just make off with the money, but just want to know in case there are any issues further down the line.

Thanks!

I would call them up and ask for the documents to be emailed, and follow that up with an email. Be ready to cancel the loan if the she doesnt agree or like the terms of the agreement.

I would check the email address she gave them and check the Junk folder, you may find the forms in her in box, they are normally sent out instantly by email and post.
