Good Morning all and bright at the moment with the sun shining (how long it may last who knows )very changeable weather roll on the summer 11 weeks tomorrow until we are off on our annual family jaunt to the Isle of Wight again. DGS Ben comes home next month from Uni so I am looking forward to that Two of my DGS's birthdays are next week Mikey on 1st and Henry on 3rd I am taking us all out to dinner next Wednesday to Buddha Belly's in Maidstone and I'm sure the boys will love the idea of the buffets that are laid on there.

Gardener is due today so my lawn will get mowed and beds weeded.
Apart from that not a lot to do just general pottering around I think.
Hope everyone has a good day today

  • Good Morning everyone, it's a lovely bright day here today so He Who Knows has gone off fishing and I'm going to potter in the garden and hoe all the herb and strawberry beds and the bed between us and next door at the front. We seem to be suffering a plague of 'Niger' plants, I suspect it's from the bird food that people put out in the winter we've certainly never grown it as flowers. Quiche, salad and new potatoes for lunch today which I will eat in the sun in the garden, doesn't it lift your spirits when it's warm and sunny? certainly does mine!

Have yourselves a really nice day everyone, Lyn xxx.

    Good morning,

I wish I could say we had your weather Mrs LW,but its dull, grey and drizzly and not that warm :( Should be used to it by now:rotfl:Had a big tidy yesterday ,we only had DGD for tea and she wasnt too messy.Child free until tomorrow afternoon now so should stay reasonably tidy apart from the new front door which arrived yesterday and is in the hall, and a big box of car parts that also got delivered in the living room! Todays expected delivery is a storage bench for the back so we can hopefully hide some of the carp. Not having a garage any longer to dump stuff in is something we're still getting used to :D

Off in a while to school for my voluntary stint, half term next week though.I need something quick for tea on Thursdays as I dont get home too much before DH & DS2,but I have some nice burgers in the fridge so I will get some barms on my way home,I'll have mine with salad.

DS1 knocked a small tin of red model paint off his desk, touching something up on one of his wing mirrors he'd taken off.Quite a splash landed on his speckly grey carpet  I googl d and it said use nail varnish remover and a toothbrush to dissolve it and blot.I got the worst off but there is a bit of a pinkish tinge left on one part.I used loads of the remover so it was pretty stinky in his room, and it evaporates really quickly too so he said he'll get another-good job it was nearly full.Havent told DH & doubt he'd notice without his specs on anyway :rotfl:
RR our 1st female dog had an orange squeaky mouse for her baby.Hope Evie isnt too distressed bless her.
    Lainey,well done!
AOD,what a nice thing to do for you :T

Right must finish my cuppa and get ready.Hope you all enjoy your day x

Islandmaid Porto is gorgeous,I'm so jealous! There are some fab restaurants on both sides of the river, lots of port houses to visit, fabulous trams that trundle around, the railway station with it's wonderful tiled walls, the coast isn't far away by get on/get off tour buses, the huge bridge which you can walk across, a wonderfully dilapidated market hall with fascinating stalls & produce...can you tell I really enjoyed being there?!

  • Afternoon, (((((((((((hugs))))))))))) if you need one.

Very busy day, Library, Market and Aldi. Back home for lunch and then off to the quilting group. Quite a hectic meeting for them, had to crack the whip a few times. Managed to cut a block wrong, idiot, never mind.

OH bowling so supper is on. I am spending the evening with my feet up.
