Not all train companies pay out the same percentage compensation per journey for delayed/cancelled trains to season ticket holders. Southeastern divide the amount by 546 journeys a year yet Southern divide the cost by 464 journeys a year. All train companies should have to follow the same formula.

Careful what you wish for.
I imagine you would like it standardised at 1/464th per delayed journey.
I would expect the train operating companies to standardise on the smaller figure.
Just for the record Robert, your petition currently has six signatures.0 -
The figure should be the same across the board and should not be decided by the train companies. 464 is a fair figure given that there are 232 working days in a year (8 bank holidays and 20 days holiday a year minimum). The petition went live earlier today after approval, you need 5 signatures to get to that stage.0

Although I doubt you're going to get far with this. Sorry.
Still 6 signatures.0 -
I'm curious, do you think the operators have plucked the number out of the air or have they based it on how many journeys their season holders actually make per year?0

It varies depending on the train company.
Have a look at the train operating company's customer charter.
That's not a bad refund is it?
They got you to Newcastle, but as you were under an hour late they carried you for less than half price?0 -
It wasn't but it's me being greedy too a degree I go down every other month too pick up my son (school holiday, divorcee here) from Kent. It costs me quite a lot as I have too do the Newcastle-Kent journey twice, and Kent too Newcastle journey twice.
I book as early in advance as I can and use top cash back too get the Virgin tickets if anyone can suggest any way too do it cheaper I will listen too suggestions.debts 16550
