To participate in the Promotion, participants must sign up for an account on the Teapot Test page and submit their predictions for that day’s play. You may only participate in the Promotion once during each promotional period, which equates to a maximum of one set of predictions for each day of play.
HOW DO I WIN?
4.1. The aim of the game is to try and predict when the wickets will fall during a day’s play at each England Test game. In order to play the game a participant must first sign up to create their unique account. Once this is complete the participant can then submit their predictions.
4.2 Each user gets 10 stamps for the day. A stamp is to be placed on the exact delivery during that over the user thinks the wicket will fall. The stamp covers one specific ball and also that entire over.
4.3 Points are scored as follows:- 100 points will be scored for a stamp placed on the exact ball in the correct over
- 25 points will be scored for placing your stamp on the correct over
4.4 A user may change their predictions at any point. The only exception being when the game is live, in this circumstance a user may change their predictions within five overs of the current over in the live game e.g. If the game was currently in the 5th over, a user could only alter predictions from the 11th over onwards.0 -

You can only play the game when England are playing in a cricket match. In theory this is every day of each 5 day test match, however if the game ends early due to a team winning without needing all 5 days then it will be less. Also, if rain stops play and a day is a complete washout then there will be no wickets, so no opportunity to get points.
Next test starts tomorrow (edit: oops, it's just gone midnight, so I mean later today) so you can start allocating your teapots now
I assume it's just during test matches and not one day matches or T20, so the dates for those are:
From 9th June
From 14th July
From 22nd July
From 3rd August
From 11th August
Dates taken from here: http://www.ecb.co.uk/stats/fixtures-results0 -

Shove 'em in more-or-less at random if I were you. And share on Fb/Tw for the extra 100 points which takes you half way to the 200 points needed to put you in the draw
I'm no expert - the best I can come up with is:
* it would be a little unusual to lose a wicket in the first couple of overs (but far from unheard of).
* Given the scoring system it's worth putting each teapot in a different over (ie. on a different line).
* They've included 90 overs, I don't think they always play that many, depending on time so you may have a slightly better chance concentrating on the first 70 or so.
* They commonly put the best batsmen out first so I would think the wickets might fall more frequently later in the match. But then perhaps the best guys take more risks so I wouldn't rely on that!
Not much use, I suspect, but good luck anyway!0 -
Hi - I have enjoyed guessing each day and changing my teapots - but today the system wont let me change. - any ideas welcome.
Thanks0 -
Yesterday and today, I have been able to place all my teapots the night before, but then during the day of play I can't change any - all 10 placed teapots display as grey (rather than red) with "0" on them, just like they do usually once that over has been played and you weren't correct.
There is no progress today and none showing yesterday, no wickets are shown (even though there were some yesterday and has been 1 today) and no "current over" has shown even when there was current play. Today has mostly been rained off, but there has been play and 1 wicket, yet my scorecard shows as if the whole day was finished and there were no wickets (same as it did yesterday - I checked during play and in the evening).0 -
Seems to be OK now, bur wasn't working yesterday & earlier today as above0
