My 3 year Fixed rate runs out in 2 months. If I take out another 3 year fix would it start straight away or after the 2 months is up.?
Also has anyone taken out a fixed rate and then ported the mortgage to a new property say 1 month into the new fixed rate?. We are with Nationwide but looking for a property at the moment. Our house has sold subject to everything been ok so we are looking for the right one to move to. I just don't want to take a fixed rate out and then find that I am having to pay fees for moving it to another property. The mortgage payments will stay the same as I have some savings.

I wouldn't take out another fixed rate deal now if you are planning to move imminently. If you can't port the new fixed rate deal then you will have to pay a big early repayment charge when you move.student100 hasn't been a student since 2007...0

If you fix again. Then your options will be limited to your existing lender. Maybe worth considering your options carefully if a move is imminent.0
