Hi i was wondering if anyone can help me with a question about tax credits.My child who is disabled and on the higher rate disabilty is fifteen and i am wondering what will happen when he is sixteen,does anyone know if family tax credits stop then or caryy on until he is eighteen when he leaves school.I was also wondering about that PIP thing as i was told he will need to aply for that himself when he is sixteen which he cannot do as he cant even write?

As long as your child is still in education the child tax credit should continue. Must not be higher education, eg uni. Hope this helps, M2m.Frugal Living Challenge 2026.

You should be able to remain on dla until you get a invitation from the dwp saying you have to move to pip. Your local citizens advice will be able to help you.Total Debt - £30,814.90 at 12/2/2016
