How long for conveyance?

I hope not 18 weeks, our solicitor said we should complete approximately in 2 weeks time, as this is absolutely new house, no chain and not other complications. Seller also wants us to move asap.

Then your solicitor is the one to ask. Only they know the full facts.

Of course the seller wants you to move ASAP because they want to get their money and you to start paying rent!!

I thought they have you 4 weeks to exchange?

I would suggest you contact the solicitors and ask so they have all the relevant paperwork needed to meet this deadline.

We were due to exchange 18th May - this was delayed by Leeds, now we will exchange 31st.

With 3 days to go my solicitor emailed today with 3 outstanding things from mortgage, sellers solicitors plus ourselves.

Just received email from our solicitor, saying that searches are back and they are fine. So he was right, that they are usually coming back within 1 weeks time. So we are going next week so sign and set up completion date.

Update on this : for us it took 2 weeks to receive searches back and then another 1 week to exchange and we are completing next Friday.
