I am sitting here stunned.

Let me tell you a tale

I did a free trial with a certain site. Only £2. Blink and you would have missed it! Anway the 20p I had left in my account meant that I could do a promotion as a cash player. So I won a whole £1. Woohoo.

So just for something to do I thought I have 5 mins (in between two DS who BOTH seem to have forgotten how to go to the loo:rolleyes: , and herding escaped chickens out of my garden - don't ask), so I might as well spend the £1.

The reason I am stunned is that I have pretty much won the cost of the oil tank that needs replacing!:j :j   . I have NEVER won anything really in my life before. If it wasn't that I have to talk to my children I would be speechless.

So the moral of this story is NOT to gamble, but that MONEY sometimes arrives from UNEXPECTED PLACES!!!

I just had to share my good news with somebody!!!

A very happy chev!

    That is absolutely wonderful.

Just goes to show that you can get something sometimes but only ever gamble money that you do not need or "silly money" like £1.

Can I guess what the first thing you will be ordering tomorrow?

    HAve a brill weekend.

Wow that is fantastic news!!!! I'm so glad. Did you declutter a certain significant corner last night?

I haven't done any of the gambling offers as I'm scared of the whole thought of gambling, but now I'm wondering if that's silly.

Well Seax I did get rid to another freecycler my baby buggy today!
Ref the gambling. I usually never gamble more than the money you have to get back the cashback/points etc.

I have had a couple of small wins this way, but never anything like this. I would NEVER suggest anyone gamble money that they are counting on to get them out of hole if you know what I mean. I have a compulsive gambler for a brother and I know what pain he bought to me and my parents. So if you are afraid you wouldn't be disciplined enough then DON'T DO IT!

RAS I would love to order the oil tank tomorrow, but a) I have to get the money into my bank account, which will take a while as you have to prove you are you (ie ref money laundering rules) and b) the work men have to still dig up all the contaminated soil yet. And the oil tank will be sited where they have to dig.

    Still can't believe it though.

And was the baby buggy parked in the north-east corner of your home, or the south-west? We need to know!

It's not that I wouldn't be disciplined but because it's an alien environment and I'd be scared of messing up and losing money. I have never gambled in any form (not even bought a lottery ticket), I am very grateful that there is one vice I don't have as god knows I have enough bad habits.

Brill news anyway and I hope it's not too long before the money's in your hands and the soil is out of your garden.
