Good morning chums, hope you all had a nice weekend.

I was kept super busy and didn't have an opportunity to check in over Sat and Sun. The weekend just isn't long enough.

camelot - what are you using to do the mono-blocking? We had the same issue and tried various weed killer type stuff but it didn't work and we resorted to manual labour in scrape it out.
redruby - that would've been scary. Hope the dog's ok.

Work today followed by a nice healthy homemade dinner and I'll make some soup too.

  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one, lovely morning, have the washer on, but will not get it out unti this afternoon, we are at a funeral this morning.

I am quite a lot better today, still got the snivelling and the cough is horrendous, just hope I do not cough n the service, the undertakers will be taking my name!!!!

We will be off shortly, we have to drive into the city and right over to the other side, parking is not easy, we may have to park at Sainsbury and walk to the Church.

A quieter week this week, just the quilting group Thursday, I need to go to Aldi too so we will be up and out early.

Time to get myself into gear, may be back later.

Looks like a lovely morning so far. I have some washing to hang outside but don't want to miss the builder turning up. Two parcels have already been delivered which look like the trousers I ordered and probably a rain jacket with a hood to try on.

I have decided to keep the patterned black and white raincoat and really love the blue jacket that arrived on Saturday as it has white piping and looks smart rather than "it'll do!" The fact that I saved £80 by waiting for the sales does not hurt either.

Coffee and a bacon sarnie for breakfast and will pop out to the shop later for rolls, cold meat etc.

I hope you feel better soon and get a chance to rest later with lots of hot drinks.

Yes i got a hug for my distress.:( "i suppose you think i am a barstwerd now" he said. Well yes i did, still do if i'm being honest but maybe its the sort of criticism i need to listen to. I'm going to work on it.

Well i had a surprise a couple of hours ago. Do you remember me telling you i was trying to find a photo or two of my Uncle for my long lost cousin? Well these were delivered this morning for my effort and success.

Such lovely flowers Judi, hope they last long.

The drive down to Glasgow was so good, not a lorry in sight going my way, beautiful sunshine and no rain. Just plenty of tourists scared by bends in the road. :rotfl: I got past most of them so it wasn't bad.

It's a glorious evening here too. Mum is watching the DVD of the funeral and I'm on hand (without watching) to tell get who's who.

I should be outside in my garden enjoying a G&T now, will have to settle for the end of Pointless and a cup of tea.

Lovely flowers Judi, that's a really nice thing to do.

Got home from work at 1pm and DH had taken DS1 on a driving lesson back to his old school to collect his certificates. Took the opportunity to scoot along to the gym for a 30min treadmill session. Was very boring as due to gym etiquette I left a few treadmills space and ended up with no tv screen to watch :(

Got a good result at SW tonight though - 1.5lb off and my Target whooooohoo :)

    Have a good evening all.
