Mortgage and Distance to Work

Hello we live and work in London both working ..We want to buy house in Leeds and move over there as soon as I have my job transfer (it could be up to few months )since than I can live in my brother place. does anyone know if its any Mortgage lender who do not consider commute to work when they lend the money ..Im preety sure NatWest DONT and is easy to buy home with any distance to work ..and rent it till we find a job in new place ...Unfortunately I've apply with them and I had aproved in principle but they Reject after closer look because I had some debt with them 15 years ago ..exactly 10 pounds overdraft :eek:..so be aware ...I will be very Greatfull if someone have been in similar situation and can let me know

If you intend to rent your house out immediately after buying it (even for a short time) you'll likely run into some problems there e.g. requiring consent to let or a buy-to-let mortgage.Savings target: £25000/£25000

If you have a reasonable explanation it can be done, but don't try it direct with a lender yourself. Have a broker manage it.I am a Mortgage Broker
