    I don't think most bigots (I'm not saying Clapton is one, I'm just staying on topic) resort to talking about individuals, years ago a Scottish girlfriend said to me 'obviously I don't hate you, I just generally hate the English' (which at the time, was actually news to me).

    It's funny (not funny actually but I can't think of a better word) that you get people going on about the bloody blacks or whatever and then you point out that their mate is black and they say, "Well obviously I don't mean Davo".

    I've sat through many a racist, anti-immigration rant in Aussie pubs (actually racist ones, not just people that don't like immigration as not all anti-immigration people are racist although there is a lot of overlap between the two groups) and been told, "Well obviously I don't mean you, I mean Them". TBH I think what they means is that as a Pom I don't really count as an immigrant.

    I guess that anyone, who truely believes that 3 million people who rent in London, have no effect on London houses prices, will believe any nonsense.

    the consensus is that Ferraris are not suitable for people with bad backs irrespective of the prices of strawberries and cream at Wimbledon.
