Halifax mortgage underwriting question

Hi

Just some background my partners mortgage application with Halifax went to full offer the other week and he recieved correspndace through the post so the did the solicitor. When the solicitor did the money laundering check it flagged up a issue with the deposit as that came from myself (his partner). The mortgage went back to pre offer. Ive now sent a gifted letter to the lender and they confirmed yesterday to the solicitor that this has now been accepted but they still can't proceed as it was currently being underwritten. Later on that day the mortgage broker contacted me and informed me that the mortgage was back at full offer. The solicitors still haven't any any further correspondence to say they are happy to proceed. Does this mean it is still with the underwriter or could it be just in a processing q? I understand the solicitors are waiting for a fax or email. Can anyone shed any light on the process? Thanks

As it's gone back to a full offer status, the system will generate another offer letter for the solicitor.

This is sent by post, so will take a couple of days to reach the solicitor.

But there's nothing to stop your solicitor emailing or Faxing the Halifax to get confirmation that this has been re-offered
