Tesco "Perfectly Imperfect" UK Strawberries 227g 75p.

Options
As above, spotted today in Tesco: "Perfectly Imperfect" fresh UK strawberries (mine were Kent) 227g for 75p.

Nothing at all "wrong" with them - they seem to be just not-quite-perfect shape-wise; I can assure you that they taste delicious. :D

Don't know the normal price, and you gotta give Tesco A+ for
    marketing.

I like these, I use strawberries in smoothies so I really don't care what they look like! These are just small or oddly shaped strawberries and taste just as good.

Well done Tesco for taking this approach.

Far to much wasted food gets destroyed simply because it doesn't look 'perfect'.

Hopefully this will be benefiting those British farmers who would had to either find a market for another strawberry product paying a lower price for imperfect fruit, or would have simply thrown the fruit away.

I've ordered some online for our delivery next week.
Half hoping for a free upgrade to a better quality if they are not available ;)

Wow got mine today. Sonata variety, tiddlers but perfectly ripe & every one bursting with lush flavour.
