Loan/Finance dispute
Options
Hi,
I have a loan/finance with a company call First Home Finance, since I took out the finance in 2014 I don't believe I have receive any annual statements, to check this I have requested a Subject Access Request, when I requested this via email, I received a phone call from them immediately asking what it was I wanted as they cant provide a copy of my file and were not sure what a Subject Access Request was. When they rang, they then advised me that in fact they have set our regular statements, which I'm pretty sure they haven't, so they will send them out again, funnily, they have also only literally just sent one out too. Now I'm still not convinced and I'm not the type that likes to be confrontational, so allowed them to do that. have I just ruined any chances I have of a dispute???:(
Any advice on what to do next would be much appreciated.
Thanks,

I've only ever read of subject access request done by letter. I'd send a SAR with the required monies.
Are you sure it's first home finance or is it first rate home finance ?0 -
It would seem at best the most you MAY have to gain is 12 months interest refund0

What are you wanting to see? Your file won't say that an annual statement has been issued.0
