Dear all,
I am a first time buyer wanting to use the help to buy 5% deposit scheme and have a deposit and also had a few AIP but when it comes down to getting the agreement people are saying NO?! I have a credit rating of 958 on experience and all people are saying is that because I have used compare websites looking for the best deals on mortgages and looked at house and car insurance so I can do a budget and ensure I can afford things that has actually knocked my score and now no one will lend to me?? I was being financially aware and checking what was out there to get the best deals and that has actually gone against me? What do I do now? Is there any way or anyone who can/will help me?

Stop doing credit checks, thats the big one.
Speak to an experienced broker, not one who is just going to apply to any lender but one who will go through your credit reports and make an educated choice.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
