I have recently been unfairly dismissed from work and I have received my last pay slip dates may 30th as I am being paid until the end of the month
However, my p45 is dated the 6th of May? Is this wrong?

I've seen P45's dated on the day it was produced, the day payroll is run, the day employment ended..... It can create confusion when claiming benefits, but there doesn't seem to be a 'correct' date to put despite the box saying "Employment end date"0

When did you receive the pay? Did you receive it on or before 6 May?
Though you were paid to the end of May, was part of this actually "pay in lieu of notice"?0
