I'm so please that stressedofdevon had a great outcome. My celebration in my last post however was premature.
The 'promoter' now says that they contacted me and I said I didn't want the prize!! I almost weed myself laughing initially but now I'm insanely furious.
I've now added into the mix IPS ( http://www.isp.org.uk/ ) who are promotions industry lead and strive to ensure they aren't given a bad rap and ensuring the industry keeps to set standards.. ie when things go wrong avoiding it escalating. Well that's the theory anyway.

I had a problem with an text Asda competition. I emailed them a few times, then phoned and spoke to them 7 times, but to no avail. In the end I resorted to a good old fashioned letter and the matter was sorted within days!!
The good thing with a letter is that it's a 'solid' item, so harder to ignore or forget (ie it usually stays on someone's desk until it's dealt with!).0 -
Try these people here - www.isp.org.uk
The Institute of Sales Promotion, they make sure comps are run legally, which if you aren't getting your prize then I guess that's not legal??
I obviously didn't make this big enough - email these people, complaints@isp.org.uk explain what has happened and the companies involved - several people have done so before and had their prizes within days.
I contacted this company over a prize i never received, and within a week the company that had been ignoring my emails etc suddenly paid up with an apology,it had been going on for well over two month before these got involved :T :T cheers for posting the details:T :T0
