Halifax 1% cashback for FTB

HI,
I was wondering if anyone can give me an advice. We bought a house and took mortgage with Halifax through a broker. Application completed 22/04/16, exchange of contract 06/05/16 and completion 12/05/16.
I have been recently informed by Halfiax Mortgage advisor that I may be entitled to their current offer of 1% cashback. The offer began on 29/04/16
I was wondering if we would still qualify for this? The broker didn't discuss any offers that may have been available at the time of consultation.
£1420 is still a lot of money and could pay for my unborn child's stuff. Is there a way for me to argue this?
Many thanks

The offer began after you had already applied for the mortgage. How can you be entitled to it?

You would have needed to change products between the launch and when you completed.
You can't ask for it to be changed after the event.
FWIW the cashback was accompanied by a 0.35% rate increase, so you would have lost your rate, not just gained the cashback.
You submitted an application on 22 April and completed your purchase on 12 May?
You mean the broker didn't come back to you after the application was submitted to tell you of the start of a new offer seven days later?I am a mortgage broker. Check your most recent KFI as that will confirm whether or not your product comes with any incentives.I am a Mortgage BrokerYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Broker, so you need to take my word for it.
